As 2012 comes to a close — in about 4 hours — I am busy tying up loose ends and last minute To-Do’s during my last day as ICAN of Louisville’s chapter leader. I am excited about the future of our little chapter, under the direction and leadership of Angela and am equally excited that my personal life is slowing down in this new year.
My family is excitedly expecting Baby #4 this summer and I appreciate your prayers and well wishes for another homebirth VBAC.
I’m planning on popping into ICAN meeting here and there, so I won’t be far, but this stepping down and away comes at a good time in my own life.
Angela has an exciting year of meeting topics planned and I know she’s eager to learn, support, and walk along side of Louisville’s birthing women!
I want to once again publicly thank her for stepping into this role and wish her well!
And I would like to urge you, friends of our chapter, to stay involved in 2013! Come to the meetings, share the events on facebook, pass out flyers, donate money, join if you’re able! Support one another…. even after the birth of your child (especially after!)! We are a close community with a lot of natural turn-over. Stay involved when you can and walk alongside the other mothers who are recovering, planning, and preparing.
Best of luck, friends!
