I would like to take a moment to personally welcome Angela Morrow to the ICAN of Leadership team! Angela is transitioning into the ICAN of Louisville leader position and will take on the chapter on January 1, 2013.
Once again, I’d like to encourage interested persons in our community to step up to help Angela as a co-leader. Co-leading our ican chapter is a great way to support women in the Louisville area and do your part to educate, prevent unnecessary cesareans, and support Louisville’s birthing women.
I asked Angela to tell us more about herself for the blog. Enjoy the read and please say hello and welcome to her at our December film showing!
Angela Morrow is an Army brat who found her way back to her roots in Louisville six years ago. She is now happily married thanks to a romantic proposal beneath the Eiffel Tower and recently, a mother to Mallory Grace, a beautiful and very perceptive one year old. When she’s not working as a full-time buyer, she enjoys spending time with her baby girl and always looks forward to weekly date nights with her husband which includes a home-cooked meal and catching up with the DVR.
Her daughter’s birth, an unplanned/unwanted cesarean, was a pivotal moment that left her feeling cheated and more specifically robbed of an experience what she feels was intended by God. This has sparked her passion for encouraging women to educate themselves on the risks of unnecessary c-sections.
She dreams of someday having 3 successful VBAC’s and owning a Cotswold cottage in Cherokee Park.
